There are times when I’m wanting my characters to sound hip and fresh and not old and stuffy, so I go to urbandictionary.com
You can find the latest and greatest terms in what the cool kids use.
Just today, I was entertained by a couple of the listings on their home page:
Walk blocker: A person that suddenly stops when they are walking right in front of another.
blabber infection: The condition that a person who goes “blah blah blah” suffers from.
If you ever want to find some interesting turn of phrase, this is a good place to go.
I will issue a warning, though, that since this dictionary is basically made up by the submissions of others, there are times when a naughty word filter should be applied.
