The first (and very rough draft) of The Christmas Token is done!
Although we’ve had company at our house, a trip out of town, and numerous distractions, I wrote the book in ten days. A new record for me! (Maybe this staying home and writing full-time thing is a good idea!)
It wasn’t ten consecutive days of writing, but ten days of writing total.
Just for fun, I kept track of the days I wrote and how many words I managed to hammer out each day.
8/26 ~ wrote 3,370 words
8/27 ~ 7,305 (total of 10,675)
8/28 ~ 8,348 (19,023)
9/3 ~11,500 (30,525)
9/5 ~ 9,607(40,132)
9/6 ~ 10,283 (50,415)
9/7 ~ 10,105 (60,520)
9/11 ~ 3,965 (64,486)
9/12 ~ 6,421 (70,907)
9/14 ~ 4,036 (74,945)
As you can see, some days were more productive than others.
Also, I plan for the book to end up around 85,000 words, so by the time I go back through it again, it should be getting close to that.
My plan is for this book to be ready for your reading pleasure in mid-November.
Keep checking in for more details!
