Thank you all for your wonderfully kind, incredibly sweet, completely appreciated words of encouragement and cheer. I appreciate each and every one of you so much! 🙂
It was recently brought to my attention (because my attention tends to be somewhat scattered of late), that February marks five years in my writing journey.
Five years ago this month, I sat down at my computer, took a deep breath and began typing out the story that had been ever more forcefully resonating in my head and heart.
Heart of Clay is the result of my fledgling efforts. Clay and Callan’s story is special to me for many, many reasons. Like a first-born child, it will forever hold a very special place in my heart because it was my very first novel.
As I wrote Heart of Clay I learned so much about writing – and that I had much to learn (and still do!). I discovered many things about myself I didn’t know. Perhaps most importantly, I fell in love with writing romances.
In honor of five years of pouring out my heart and bits of my soul into the stories I write, today five lucky winners will win their choice of one of my digital books.
Just enter a comment below (or on my facebook page) for a chance to win. Winners will be announced tomorrow.
If you can’t think of a comment, feel free to ask me a question about writing, my books, my characters – even Captain Cavedweller. Today, I’m an open book! 😉
Congrats on thr 5 year anniversary! Love your books & eventually hope/plan to get all of them into my kindle! Will try to leave a review for each of them on amazon. Blessings G
Thank you, Gail! Have a great weekend!
Thank you for writing! What a blessing you are to so many! 💜. Keep up the good work!!
Thank you, my sweet friend! I so appreciate it! 🙂
Congratulations, Shanna! You’re journey and work continue to inspire me! I’m so glad we connected!
Me, too, Kayla! Thank you so much – and keep on keepin’ on! 🙂
Happy 5th Anniversary!!! I’m so thankful you sat down and wrote that first story along with all the rest. Your books have provided hours of fun, laughter, joy and sometimes tears for me along with many other readers. You have such a gift for storytelling! Looking forward to many more of your wonderful books! Hope you have a beautiful day of celebrating the past five years and looking toward many more creative years in your amazing career!!!😊
Aw, Jamie! You are such a sweetheart! Thank you so, so much! I have such wonderful readers (like you!) who inspire me to keep going, keep learning, and keep doing better! Thank you! ❤
Happy Anniversary Shanna!
Thank you, Dani!
Happy Anniversary Shanna!!!! You have a very special gift of romance story telling. Your novels capture the reader from the first page and holds us until the very end, at which time we wish the story did not have end. You have an incredible funny side that always adds laughter to your stories. Your characters are not just names on a page or characters in a book; they reflect a part of you and that is reflected in your writing style. As I finish one of your novels I often feel like I have made some new friends and then when you continue with the next novel in the series I get to revisit with my old “friends” and meet new ones. I am so glad that I discovered your books in November 2013.
Thank your for sharing with us and again HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! to the only author that I have read books twice through. (as you know I hate knowing how the story ends ahead of time but with your books it is just letting grabbing a cup of coffee – yes I am a coffee junkie – and revisiting with old friends.
Oh, my sweet friend, thank you so much! I’m incredibly grateful (and blessed) you decided to download that first book. Thank you for being a great supporter and a true friend! ❤
happy Anniversary, Shanna. I for one am so happy you decided to write. Keep up the good works. 😘
Thank you so, so much, Jan! 🙂 ❤

Congratulations my dear friend! You may get six or seven replies to this as we are having a blizzard and can’t see two feet out of my window! (That means Hughes shuts down, comes back up and does crazy things all by itself!)
You have given me a purpose in life since I started reading your books. Your friendship has lifted me up and the characters in your books have become like friends as well!
