I spent the past four days in California at the InD’Scribe Conference.
While there I attended classes, listened to a very inspiring keynote speech by Brenda Novak, participating in a big book signing event, and got to wear a beautiful evening gown for the awards ceremony. But the thing I enjoyed the most, the thing that gave me the most joy from the weekend, were the new friends I met.
One wonderful friend I’ve known only on Facebook was there and it was such a blessing to get to meet her in person and hang out with her both Thursday and Friday evening.
I also met some fabulous people I know I’ll stay in touch with. Although it’s easy for me to be introverted and hide in my writing cave, I’m so glad I had the opportunity to meet some amazing people.
It sounds like a wonderful experience, Shanna! I’m so glad you had the opportunity to go!
Thank you, Melanie! It was memorable! 🙂
Glad to hear you had this opportunity, Shanna! Isn’t Brenda Novak a great speaker? I’ve known her since she began writing; she is an amazing person.
She really is fantastic, Alice! It was great to hear her speak. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!
That’s so exciting, isn’t it? Last year I got to meet special online friends from Australia, South Dakota, and Minnesota, along with loads of others…I love how the Internet connects us in ways we never imagined!
