A Year to Grow

I always choose a one-word theme for my year.

Past words have included Blessed, Believe, Joy, One, Grace, Faith, Brave, and Love.

This year, I chose the word Grow.

There are so many ways we can grow.

In patience. In kindness. In hope. In faith. In love. In understanding. In empathy. In tenderness. In strength. In wisdom. In success. In gratitude. In grace.

So many ways to grow.

I like to have visuals to remind me of my word and goal.

Only, I was having a hard time finding anything with “Grow,” so I decided to make my own wall sign.

I had no idea what I wanted, but when I happened to wander through Hobby Lobby right after Christmas, I saw a wall print that caught my eye.

This bouquet of roses is so “me” and I thought it would work perfectly for the project. It was in the Valentine display.

I also found these glorious letters at Hobby Lobby that have pearls and sparkly rhinestones. You can iron them on, or the have a sticker, which is exactly what I wanted.

I am so happy with the way this turned out. It’s going to hang on the wall by my desk, where I see it every day as a reminder to GROW this year.

Do you have a word theme for 2026?

  1. Hey Shanna!
That wall piece came out beautifully. My word is DEVOTED.
As a quick note, I’m featuring you on my blog this week (the last time was in 2021). I’ll be reviewing the Snowman’s Sweetheart on Wednesday.

    All my best!
