Bacon-Wrapped Beef Bites

If you’re looking for something fun and delicious to serve Super Bowl weekend, look no further than these easy beefy bites.

It’s hard to go wrong with any recipe that includes bacon (at least at our house). Serve the bites with a side of barbecue sauce and you’ll be the MVP of any football party!

Mix the ingredients together, working just until they are combined.

Cut strips of bacon in half then place them in an X pattern inside muffin cups.

Form the meat mixture into balls and set a ball inside each cup. If you fill your cups extra full like I did, place a baking sheet or piece of foil beneath your pan to catch the grease that spills over. Bake about 35-40 minutes.

Broil for about five minutes then lift out the bites, turn them over, and place them on a baking rack on a foil-lined baking sheet.

Broil an additional five minutes until bacon is crispy. Serve and enjoy!

Bacon-Wrapped Beef Bites Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef

2 eggs

1/2 cup Panko crumbs

1/2 cup shredded Colby-Jack or cheddar cheese

1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp. seasoning (like Mrs. Dash or Lawry’s)

1 tsp. onion flakes

1 tsp. dried parsley flakes

12 strips of bacon

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Cut bacon strips in half and place inside a muffin tin in an X pattern. Set aside.

Combine beef, Panko crumbs, cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt, onion flakes and parsley flakes. Form into balls about the size of a golf ball. Place a ball in each bacon-wrapped cup and fold bacon over the top.

Bake for approximately 35 minutes. Kick the temp up to 500 and broil for five minutes then remove from oven.

Using tongs, place each beefy bite upside down on a baking rack positioned in a foil-lined baking pan. Return to oven and broil an additional five minutes until bacon is crispy.

Serve with barbecue sauce.

(Note: If you like a little heat in your meat, add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes.)
