Believe Week 4

I had lunch with a friend the other day and we were talking about the words we chose for 2020.

When she asked me why I chose the word believe, I paused for a moment before I gave her an answer and thought about why I really, truly picked this word.

It isn’t one reason, but a hundred.

Last year was kind of rough and I feel like I let my faith and hope in myself and so many things slip. In some cases, far more than I should have.

The word “believe” is my theme – my reminder – to do just that in a multitude of things:

Believe in myself

Believe in my dreams

Believe in my faith

Believe in my Father

Believe that miracles happen every day

Believe that there is always hope

Believe that beauty resides everywhere

Believe that nothing is impossible

Believe that new opportunities rise up every single day

Believe, believe, believe in everything that matters to me.

What about you?

If you chose a word theme for the year, what’s your reason for picking it?

  1. What a beautiful blog. It has inspired me to choose a word for myself. I think perhaps (not positive) Achievement.
Achievement: attainment or accomplishment. I have some things that I need to accomplish this year that I don’t necessarily enjoy (begin exercising for one) and I want to achieve that goal and feel good about myself. There are other goals as well. You are such a blessing in my life.

    1. Achievement is a great word, Barbara! And I believe in you! You can do whatever you set your mind to! Here’s to achieving our goals in 2020! <3 And thank you for being a blessing to me!

  2. “Faith ~ makes things possible… not easy” This is written on a coaster I was given recently and I’ve held onto that word every single day since then.

Add that to ‘believe’ and I feel life can’t help but shine! Thank you for your wonderful words and insights! You truly inspire me!

    1. I love that quote, Bonnie! Such a great thing to remember each day. And I agree – add believe to it and life definitely will shine! Thank you for being so sweet and for the kind words! Have a lovely day!
