This quote was practically shouting at me today.
We aren’t all perfect.
Life gets messy and complicated.
Sometimes we’re shaking in our boots even if we put on a good front.
But the important thing is that we show up. We show up in spite of the imperfections, of being a hot mess, of complications, of fear. And that, my friends, is being brave.
Courage is knowing you have excuses or reasons for not showing up and doing it anyway. And maybe showing up is nothing more than rolling out of bed and making it through the day. Maybe it’s being present for someone or something else. Whatever it is you are showing up for today, I hope you do it knowing you’re brave and strong.
