Sometime between now and the new year, take a few minutes to sit down and capture the season in writing.
You may not be working on writing project that pertains to Christmas now, but you might down the road which is why right now is the perfect time to write down all the details.
What are the sounds of this season? The smells? The tastes? What do you see? What do you feel? What do you observe in others?
Record as many details as you can. When it’s the middle of July and 99 degrees out and you’re working on a Christmas scene in a book, you’ll be so grateful to have those notes!
