Ingredients:
1 premade 9-inch pie crust
1/3 cup cocoa sifted
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/3 cup granulated sugar
3 large egg yolks, beaten
1 1/2 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons butter
whipped cream
chocolate shavings (optional)
Directions:
Bake pie crust and cool completely.
In a heavy saucepan set on medium heat, whisk together sugar and egg yolks until combined. Add flour and cocoa powder, whisking to blend. Slowly add milk and stir to combine. Stirring constantly, cook mixture until it comes to a boil. Boil for one-minute, continuing to stir. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Stir until the butter melts and blends in. The mixture should be thick, and will firm up more as it cools. Pour into pie crust. Cover with plastic wrap, and cool for at least four hours. Before serving, top with whipped cream and, if desired, chocolate shavings.
Refrigerate any leftovers.
Yield: 6-8 servings, depending on how big you cut the slices.

That looks SO yummy! And I can almost guarantee I’d not have any leftovers to be refrigerated! I always have room for a bit more chocolate! 🙂
