Stacy Stallings book Cowboy is a wonderful read from start to finish.
Timothy Ashton Raines is the country music star desperately trying to hold himself together after the death of his wife. One rainy night, he contemplates ended it all, then finds himself in some run-down diner were Beth McCasland is waitressing.
Recognizing the pain in a strangers eyes from what she often saw reflected in her own, she reached out to the man and offered him a flicker of hope.
He calls her from time to time as he heads back out on tour and she has no idea who he really is.
The book is a great story of letting go, forgiving, moving on and grasping that fragile thread of hope and hanging on.
A contemporary clean romance, I recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet story with a happy ending.
