I saw this on Facebook yesterday and it quickly caught my attention.
“If your dreams don’t scare you they’re not big enough.”
That is so, so true!
If our dreams, our goals, don’t make us break out in a cold sweat, our stomach tighten or muscles tense anytime we think about them – dream bigger! Dreams should make us squirm a little, push us to the edge of our comfort zone.
What’s the worst that can happen? You fall a little short of the dream? That isn’t a bad thing. Look behind you at that point and see how amazingly far you’ve come because of that big dream or goal. Much further than if you’d settled on a nice, comfy goal that didn’t really stretch you at all.
What’s the best that can happen? Your dream comes true and you realize you can do all manner of astounding things when you allow yourself to dream big and reach for things you never thought would be possible.
Get out there and stretch yourself, scare yourself a little today with your dreams. You’ll be surprised what will happen when you do!
