Today, we get to meet Gracie Sutton, the daughter of one of the main characters in Liwen Y. Ho’s fantastic contribution to Fall Into Romance.
Chasing Romance
I so enjoyed Liwen’s story because it is different and a little off the beaten path. There’s Chase – the handsome rising music star, and Izzy Sutton (Gracie’s mother).
When pop sensation Chase Lockhart wants more than a room at Izzy Sutton’s Bed and Breakfast, she must decide whether it’s worth opening up her heart to him, especially when he’s eleven years her junior.
Gracie, currently a freshman in college and living away from home, share’s her perspective on Romance. (She’ll have her own story out next year!)
What’s your favorite place in Romance?
My favorite place in Romance has to be Interlude Inn, my mom’s Bed and Breakfast. I’m so proud of my mama and how much she’s accomplished. She opened it up all on her own. Well, she did have some help from Mr. Lock—oops, I shouldn’t spoil the story for you. I’ll just say that you should definitely come by our place if you’re ever in town, even if it’s just for some of my mama’s apple cake—it’s the best!
When someone says Romance to you, what comes to mind?
I think romance is everything hopeful and lovely and true. If you can’t tell, I’m a bit of a hopeless romantic. I know real life doesn’t always have a happy ending (my parents are a prime example of that), but I think it’s possible to meet the guy of your dreams. Why else would someone have named a town Romance unless romance does exist?
If you could choose anywhere to live, where would it be?
I’d love to live in California. I heard it hardly ever rains there and there’s so much good food. My friend, Brady, who lives in the same dorm as me is from Southern California. I don’t know why anyone would leave such perfect weather to come up to the dreary northwest. When I tease him about it, he says I’m all the sunshine he needs. He’s a nice guy.
What’s your favorite season?
I just love spring because of tulip season. My favorite tulips are the purple ones. Did you know they represent royalty? I’m no princess, but I’d like to think someday I’ll meet my Prince Charming.
What do you like best about living in Romance?
All the people are so friendly, especially our neighbor Mrs. Cooper.
What’s your favorite thing about the autumn season in Romance?
The Fall Festival of course! It’s like the biggest event in Romance. I’ve been going ever since I can remember. I’m so sad I have to miss it this year because of midterms, but I want to do well in my classes so I can make my mama proud. I really hope she’ll end up going without me; she’s been so lonely with me away at school.
What’s your favorite fall treat?
Pumpkin spice latte! A college kid’s gotta have caffeine to survive.
