Today we get to meet two animal characters from Jessica L. Elliott’s story, Katie’s Chance for Romance.
Five years ago she pushed him out of her life, but she couldn’t force him from her heart.

Who is your favorite human in Romance?
Loverboy: That’s easy, Katie is the most awesomest human around. Sometimes she forgets that though and I have to remind her with lots of playtime and kisses.
Roxette: It’s a toss up between Mike and Uncle Earl. Mike is always calm which helps me feel safe. Uncle Earl acts tough, but he’s so not. Katie is wonderful and has a great heart, but can be a little too intense for me sometimes.
What’s your favorite thing to do?
Loverboy: Isn’t everyone’s favorite thing playing? I mean, really. Eating, playing, sleeping, that’s all you need in life, right?
Roxette: I like to follow the horses in the pasture. Katie doesn’t always let me, especially if she’s working with a new or skittish horse. She wants all of us to be safe and happy.
What’s the best thing about your new adopted family (or person)?
Roxette: Katie and her aunt and uncle were there for me when I was too scared to trust people much. They helped me see that life could be happy again. Uncle Earl really took me under his wing and I love him for it.
Loverboy: Aunt Viv makes the best doggie biscuits. And she sneaks them to us a lot more often when Katie isn’t around. Katie thinks we might get spoiled. Little does she know, we were spoiled when she brought us home!
What do you think about all the romance swirling around Romance?
Loverboy: I think it’s silly that the humans are surprised. What did they expect living in a town with that name?
Roxette: It’s wonderful! Instead of just having Katie and Viv and Earl, we get even more love from more people. Pretty sure Romance is the best place in the world to live.
