The past few weeks have been a little crazy and I missed posting a few of my gratitude challenges, so today I’ll do two.
The first one is to share a talent that I have.
Hmmm… I like to think I have a little talent for creating stories people enjoy reading. I am grateful every single day for this wonderful, amazing gift. I can’t tell you what a blessing it is to wake up and do something I love so much. It fills my heart so full of gratitude, I get a little teary-eyed every time I think about it.
The second is to share things I like about spring.
This one is so easy because I love spring.
I love the loamy smell of the earth as it comes back to life after a cold winter.
I love the chirping sounds of the birds as they return (just don’t let them get too close, they’ll peck your eyes out!).
I love the spring flowers… hyacinths, daffodils, tulips, violets, Johnny jump-ups and lilacs. In fact, I adore lilacs and am sad beyond belief that are little backyard septic project (more about that soon) completely destroyed the lilac bush I got from my mom who got her start from my grandpa.
I love the warmth of the sun on my face and the blue sky over head and the grass at it stars to turn green beneath my feet.
Spring fills me with gratitude and thankfulness that I survived the winter and all is new and fresh again.
I think I need to figure out a way to keep “spring” in my heart all year round.
