When I decided to write In the Market For Love, finding the character inspiration, at least when it came to Ransom Kressley, was simple.
After all, he’s the identical twin to Kash Kressley, the hero from Capturing Christmas.
When I created Kash’s character, Jon Prescott was such a perfect choice for his character.
Turns out, he was a great inspiration for Ransom as well!
Kelly was a bit harder decide. I actually had the cover before I started writing the story, so I knew she needed to be blonde. Beyond that, I didn’t have any specific features in mind.
Then I happened upon a photo of Laci J. Mailey and knew I’d found my Kelly.
She is exactly how I pictured Kelly’s character. It’s no wonder Ransom couldn’t help but fall in love with her!
I know this song is an oldie by Kenny Chesney, but it was just so right for this sweet couple. and perfect for their story.
