According to Captain Cavedweller, he has become a writing widower. Hours can pass by without my notice because I’m in that happy place, consumed with my current writing project.
CC comes to check on me periodically to make sure I’m still breathing. He’ll come check on what is planned for dinner and look at me with hopeful expectation that I’ll come fix it. Sometimes I do, other times I say “that sounds great, let me know when it’s ready.”
He’s not quite so fond of those days.
Writing takes me to a place where I get lost in the story, caught up in the characters, completely involved in what happens next.
It is a feeling quite unlike any other and one I’m so glad to have finally discovered.
Writing is an exhilarating, exciting journey and I’m so grateful to be along for the ride.
