Someone mentioned the other day that they’d found a whole section of messages on Facebook they didn’t know about under “other.”
Of course, I had to make haste in checking my “other” file to see what was in there.
Good gracious.
I had twenty-two messages from people I’d never heard of, all of them inappropriate or spam.
The one that really made me laugh, though, was a message from someone using the name “Joseph” who wrote the following message:
I lik U. U R so prity. Can we meat? Love, Romeo
It’s bad enough Romeo used a false name, sent an inappropriate message to a stranger, and was dorky enough to sign it “Love, Romeo.” The inability to spell was the icing on the cake. He could really use the help of a dictionary.
So today’s lesson – always check your spelling.
