My book club decided to read the first book in Christine Feehan’s Drake Sisters series.
Magic in the Wind is the story of the oldest sister, Sarah. All seven sisters have magic abilities in this romantic fantasy series.
Damon Wilder moves to a small coastal town hoping to escape the nightmares of his past. The wind begins to whisper to him that “Sarah’s come home” even though he has no idea who Sarah is. He soon discovers Sarah lives in the house next door that has stood empty since he arrived in town.
It doesn’t take long for sparks to fly between Sarah and Damon as they work to unravel a mystery.
The story is easy to read, engaging and fun. I will caution there are a few steamy scenes, so be warned (or look forward to it, depending on your reading preferences).
Overall, I thought it was a very good book and will be reading the rest in the series as I’m anxious to see what happens with the rest of the sisters.
