Since today is National Hat Day, I thought it might be fun to post a few photos of hats that some of my characters might have worn.
While a large portion of my contemporary characters wear cowboy hats, the women in my historical romances bring a colorful array of headgear to the table.
In the Hardman Holidays series, the Granger women wear an assortment of hats.
I imagine some of their hats were along these lines, particularly Dora Granger. She likes her hats to make a loud and bold statement.
The Pendleton Petticoat series also features women wearing hats.
Their hats were quite similar to some of these.
Aundy, the heroine in Aundy, has many beautiful clothes and hats. Her grandmother was a milliner, her aunt owns an exclusive boutique in Chicago and her sister is one of the most talented seamstresses of her time.
I can just see Aundy wearing something like this. Aren’t the feathers on the hat fun?
And I can definitely picture her wearing this.
If you’d like to read Aundy’s story, the book is available in paperback, digital, or audio versions.
