I spent the weekend writing press releases about my book series debuting digitally as well as building a newsletter to send out to my data base.
The newsletter was fairly simple to put together and guess how much it cost me… nothing. Nada. Zero. Zilch.
There is a fun service called Mail Chimp that allows you to sign up for free, create an account, design a newsletter, upload your data base and send, all for free. You can, of course, purchase upgrades and add-ons, but for my first newsletter it worked really well.
At least I think it did.
The newsletter went out this morning so I am anxiously awaiting feedback from those who received it to hear if it made it through spam filters, arrived intact and tickled their fancy.
Mail Chimp doesn’t bamboozle you with a lot of technical mumbo jumbo, or monkey around with excessive details that are hard to understand. Creating a newsletter was really straightforward and simple.
If you are looking for a very affordable way to get your news out to the masses, I highly recommend it.
If you’d like to receive a copy of the newsletter, shoot me an email at shanna@shannahatfield.com or post a comment here.
