“I attribute my success to this: I never gave or took an excuse.” ~Florence Nightingale
It’s still winter, still cold, still dreary. Some parts of this country are still buried in snow.
Who is in the mood to entertain?
Hands, anyone? Hello? Anyone out there?
If you haven’t been in the mood to entertain, that is exactly why you should have some company over for a meal or evening of fun. It’s time to socialize, get back into the swing of things before spring arrives.
I bet you can come up with a handful of reasons to not entertain without even giving it much thought. The excuses are usually plentiful this time of year. You are too busy to have company over. The house is a mess. Too tired. Can’t think of anything to cook. Too cold. Too snowy.
So here is my piece of advice for the day…. no excuses. Take away all the excuses and what real, good, factual reason do you have for not inviting a few friends over and enjoying yourself immensely. They don’t care of the house is a mess or if you have take-out instead of a home cooked meal.
What people honest to goodness care about is spending time with each other, building and strengthening relationships.
So get over the excuses and get yourself in the mood to entertain someone this week. You’ll be so glad you did!
