Savory Bacon Dutch Baby

The other day, we wanted something different for dinner. Since we love dutch babies (oven pancakes), I thought it might be fun to switch things up with savory ingredients.

Turns out, that was a tasty decision.

3 large eggs

3/4 cup milk

1/2 cup flour

1/2 pound bacon, cut into small pieces

1 cup cheddar or Colby-Jack cheese, shredded

1 tablespoon all-purpose seasoning (like Mrs. Dash)

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon parsley flakes

1 teaspoon onion flakes

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

In a 10-inch cast iron skillet, fry the bacon until it is cooked. Drain the grease and set aside.

Beat the eggs in a mixing bowl until they are light and pale. Add the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into the skillet over the bacon and bake 15 minutes or until brown and slightly puffed (if you have made dutch babies before, it does not get as puffy as a normal one).
Serve warm and enjoy!
