Snowy Mother’s Day

We made the drive to visit our moms for Mother’s Day.

As we started out on the trip, the sky at home was a little overcast, but the day was reasonably warm.

That quickly changed as we started up the mountain pass.

Blues tree 1And it soon became obvious, it was going to continue to do so.

blues tree 2Although it wasn’t all that fun to drive in, it was quite pretty to see. I was incredibly happy when we topped the summit and started down the other side where it was only raining.

I told Captain Cavedweller I don’t  think I could live somewhere you had to wake up to snow Mother’s Day weekend. Not when that particular day makes you think of sunny skies and cheerful flowers.

At any rate, the snow made for some fun photos.
