Written by Francis Ames, That Callahan Spunk is a great coming of age tale set in the western frontier.
Humorous, engaging, and an all around great book for older kids to read, I highly recommend it… if you can find a copy.
It’s one of those books that just stick with you, make your heart feel all warm and fuzzy, and make you glad you took the time to read it.
There are used copies floating around out there, and some libraries may have it available.
