I thought it would be fun to share my inspiration for the characters of The Dove today.
This was such a fun project and Author Kit Morgan set the bar high with The Partridge, the first book in the series.
All I knew when I started developing Culver Daniels’ character was that he was tall and broad shouldered. I thought it would be fun if he had a cleft in his chin.
With that in mind, I went searching for someone who could provide my visual inspiration for our brawny blacksmith.
Jarid Faubel is exactly how I picture Culver. That strong jawline, the little dimple in his chin, the broad shoulders… and those eyes!
Hello, handsome frontier man.
It’s no wonder Kezia Mirga took one look at her intended and fell in love.
The lovely Vanessa Hudgen provided awesome inspiration for the free-spirit gypsy Kezia.
From the long dark hair and her amazing facial features…
to the way she crinkles her nose when she smiles is just perfect!
Kezia is a widow with a very special treasure – her baby, Jemimiah (and that name means dove!)
The moment I happened upon this image, I knew I’d found baby Jem. Isn’t she just the most adorable little thing. I love those curls and those big, beautiful eyes!
