While I was writing The Dove, I truly had such fun browsing through images that helped shape the story.
I studied many images of blacksmithing tools.
And blacksmith shops.
And awesome, artsy things a blacksmith might create. (I so want this!)
I also looked at photos of circus performers, especially those who perform on silk ropes.
And gypsies of the 1800s. There are some really fascinating images.
And, of course, turtle doves!
