The Last Chance by Ramon Ballard is a great journey through our nation’s history, told by 115-year-old Horace Chance.
From his boyhood days spent with his friends the Orville brothers right on through to to the destruction of the World Trade Center, Ballard shares the highlights of our history in a fun and engaging manner.
The story almost had a Forrest Gump feel to it, which really kept me turning pages and wanting to know what adventure was next on Horace’s horizon.
If you love this great country or history, I recommend this read. Especially in light of the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
