Today, I thought you might enjoy “meeting” the characters from The Snowman’s Sweetheart!
They live in the welcoming, charming community of Pinehill, Oregon.
If Pinehill was a real town, you’d find it near Mount Hood. In the story, it’s a tourist destination where festivals throughout the year (and especially during the holidays) draw flocks of visitors to town.
Kylan Snow, aka Mr. Snowman, grew up in Pinehill on the Christmas tree farm that has been in his family for generations. He loves it there, loves the winter, loves everything about the town and his life in Pinehill.
When I was picturing Ky, I knew I wanted a character who looked friendly. Approachable. Had a great smile. Was kind and genuine.
That’s when Daniel Lissing came to mind. He makes such a great Mr. Snowman.
I mean that smile … that’s a melting hearts smile right there! No wonder Sierra fell for him the first time they met.
Speaking of Sierra, when I was thinking about her character, I knew I wanted a dark-haired girl with dimples. One who had an expressive face.
And that’s when I thought of Camille Guaty.
She’s so perfect for Sierra Godwin’s character. She’s got the dark hair, the dimples. A great smile.
She’s perfect for how I envision Sierra’s character.
One other character I have to share today is Bo Jensen. He’s Ky’s best friend and runs the sleigh tour business in Pinehill.
Christian Kane is exactly how I envision Bo. You’ll be able to read his story in January 2023 when I release Sleigh Bell Serenade! So stay tuned!

I enjoyed your post. I like the actors you selected that you felt reflected your characters the best. A winter or any festival is a good place to meet someone and maybe begin a relationship that may develop into something bigger. This sounds like it will be another good read to add to your many others.

Daniel Lissing, played Mounty Jack Thornton on When Calls The Heart on Hallmark channel. He left the show before his teacher wife Elizabeth could tell him she was with child. He was killed in a blast trying to save people as the mountain came falling down.
Now I’m trying to think of the author and now her author daughter writing the books. Have you seen that show Shanna?
