The Unlikely Wife by Debra Ullrick is a very nice little read.
Michael Bowen, an Idaho rancher, marries a woman by proxy. He thinks they have been corresponding only it is her friend writing the letters. When Selina steps off the train wearing pants, Michael doesn’t know what to think. She is nothing like the genteel wife he had imagined or the one he expected from her letters.
It is then they discover the letters Selina’s friends wrote were not exactly truthful.
Not knowing what else to do, Michael takes Selina home. He expects her to change to fit his ideal of what a woman should be, but she remains true to herself and shows him that special gifts come in all kinds of packages.
If you are looking for a nice little book to cozy up with for an afternoon, this is a great choice.
