Three Years

Book - WOT book cover

Three years ago today, I held my breath while my stomach fluttered anxiously and poised my finger above the computer’s mouse. Mustering up one final bit of courage, I clicked the “submit” button and went from being an unpublished author to a self-published author.

Three years ago today I shared The Women of Tenacity series with the world, terrified that no one would want to read the three novels and short story I’d written.

The first book I sold was a Kindle download of Country Boy vs. City Girl. I felt such overwhelming gratitude to the person who purchased that first copy – and to this day I still don’t know who it was. I still feel such deep thankfulness that someone decided to take a chance on a new and unknown author and purchased the book.

Ever so slowly, I began to see sales for

HOC CoverHeart of Clay, the first book in the series, as well as

NHT CoverNot His Type, the third book in the series.

Inspired and motivated, I kept on writing. Twenty-some books later, I can’t imagine doing anything else.

Although some days it seems like I started this publishing journey forever ago, other days I realize I’m barely wet behind the ears and have so, so much to learn.

Today, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to you all. For those who’ve been with me since the first and those who have joined in my journey along the way – thank you.

Thank you for reading my books.

Thank you for your encouragement and inspiration.

Thank you for believing in me.

Thank you for trusting me to deliver stories that draw you in and keep you engaged to the end.

From the very bottom of my heart – thank you all!

In honor of my three-year anniversary, I’m going to pick two winners to receive a copy of the book of their choice.

To enter the give-away, just post a comment below. Any comment. And if you can’t think of anything to say, just tell me your favorite thing about June! You have until midnight (PT) to post your comment to enter to win.
